The City of Milwaukee License Division confirmed, municipal IDs are now available for local residents.

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, the City of Milwaukee License Division Office (MLDO) confirmed that City municipal IDs are now available for residents. To apply for a municipal ID, residents need to download the application from their website (available in English, Spanish and Hmong languages) or go to the MLDO in person and get a copy, fill it out completely, call the MLDO for an appointment to get an ID. The municipal ID will be sent to the person applying within two weeks. 
Eligible residents applying for a municipal identification (ID) card can be any resident from the age of 14 accompanied by parent or guardian and older. Residents will pay a fee of $10.00 to get an ID (a replacement ID would cost $5.00) and will be good for five years.
Residents would need identity documents (U.S. or foreign passport, Consular ID, Permanent Residency card (Green card), U.S. state or federal ID and a U.S. state license) and must have lived in the city for 15 days to be eligible to get a municipal ID. The ID will be mailed to applicant.
An applicant must notify the City Clerk's Office within 10 days, if ID is lost or stolen and any change of address.
ID won't be valid or authorized for voting purposes.
If you are unable to meet the requirements of an ID application, an appeal could be made with the City Clerk's Office.
