One person is dead and multiple people have been shot near the Delta Airlines terminal at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, law enforcement sources have told CBS and NBC News.
The network reported that as many as nine people were shot and wounded, and that a suspect is in custody.
Former presidential spokesman Ari Fleisher reported that passengers were hustled back to their planes amid the confusion.
