Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Alfredo Garcia, 55, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on October 3 after pleading no contest in early August to three amended felony counts, one felony count for physical child abuse causing intentional harm and two felony counts for exposing genitals. Garcia will serve 2 years in prison and 3 years of supervision for child abuse and 1 year in prison and 1 1/2 years supervision for each count for exposing genitals. In total, Garcia will be confined to 4 years in prison and serve 6 years of supervision. He will have to register as a sex offender for 15 years, according to Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Mark A. Sanders.
Garcia began serving his sentences at the Dodge Correctional Institution and was registered as a sex offender on October 3, according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
If Garcia is not a U.S. Citizen, he will be deported after serving his sentences, according to court records.
Garcia was initially charged in December 30, 2014 with two felony counts for repeated sexual assault of a child and 1st-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13. According to the criminal complaint, Garcia repeatedly victimized his younger daughter from a previous marriage.
